The Battalion Command Post (PCB)
PCB is an ensemble of functional modules designed to support the collection, processing, transmission, storage and disclosure procedures for the commander and headquarters:
• activities related to planning, management and evaluation of actions during the ongoing operations and planning future operations;
• management and evaluation of current operations in contact with enemy;
• management and evaluation of logistics support to subordinated forces.
PCB supports computer assisted generation of battle documents, and their distribution, working in fixed position or in motion, thus ensuring the flexibly of assignements and procedures, within a large area for dislocation, in specific echelon’s tempo without being dependent on pre-existing infrastructure.
PCB has a modular design that allows voice and data information to be transferred between all own units and the external elements: the upper echelon (NATO and / or non-NATO), allied forces, civil organizations etc.
